Granola is good on yogurt or for munching. Recipe makes about 20 1/4 cup servings. Yes, you could substitute real maple syrup and/or honey if you like.
It has a bit of BBQ sauce in it, which really soups up the flavor. Ground lamb can be used instead of the beef if you prefer. My kids like it both ways.

I am trying to limit calories to 1700 a day, and limit sodium intake to 3000 mg a day, as well as exercise to lose weight and reduce my blood pressure, but I'm the type that likes to cook from scratch, and I like eating things that are as tasty as you'd find in a restaurant , without the high price.
