New Orleans Red Beans. Red beans and Rice are a laundry day tradition in Louisiana. Before the days of automated laundry, the Cajun people would put their beans on to cook early in the day and spend the day doing laundry and supper would be cooked later in the day.
A thing approximately 4" pancake served with sugar free syrup and I can't believe it's not butter for a lower carb and lower fat alternative to an American favorite.
Homemade pork green Chili to serve over Burritos or as a soup type meal. Could be served over Spanish rice. Feel free to add or change chilies to Jalapeno peppers if you like it hotter.
Old fashion sausage gravy with a kick. I once read "what warms you up, slims you down", the cayenne pepper does just that. enjoy over Pillsbury IQF Biscuits. 1/3 cup works well for each biscuit split in 1/2.
Served with Rotisserie Chicken from Sam's Club or Costco
