A gentleman-friend of mine gave me this recipe. I'm not sure why the calorie count is so high, but it does sound healthy, and he said he really liked it whenit was served to him. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I do intend to. I don't eat enough fish, so this sounds like worth trying.
This recipe is started with a "starter" that only the Amish knows what is in it. So the calculations are probably not completely accurate. The starter is given in a gallon ziplock bag.
This is how I make my favorite chili. Like all chili, it's even better reheated. Sometimes I also add canned tomatoes and top with shredded cheese, but that's not calculated into the recipe.
Garlic and toasted slivered almonds make ordinary green beans extra special. Prepare the beans in batches if you do not have a large enough skillet, keeping the first round warm until the second batch is ready.
