Known in the American North East as American Chop Suey and in New York as "Goulash", this is a regional favorite of home chefs and lunch ladies. This ratio of beef to pasta makes it actually reasonably low carb, exactly meeting the 30/40/30 ratio of the Zone Diet.
This is my momma's recipe.
A Charleston, SC favorite. Makes 7 dozen wafers (84). Calorie count is for one wafer.

Full fat. Can be modified to make more healthy.
Depending on how creative you get with the spices, this dish could be considered Italian, Provenšal or North African.
