I can't have tomatoes so this is what I came up with after looking for mustard based bbq sauces....serving it over pulled pork, hoping it is good.
Adapted from Alton Brown's Ginger Ale. You can tweek the sugar or amount of ginger that you add...make it you own!
A yummy casserole that my honey threw together for dinner...it is nice and spicy with a crunchy cornbread topping!
Really cool cake that when done right it looks like a US Flag when sliced! My Mom's birthday is July 1st and MIL is July 4th! Too bad MIL lives in Michigan...
Something different and tasty to jazz up basic boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The amount of crushed red pepper can be increased or decreased according to how spicy you like things.
A borrowed, slightly modified recipe from another SparkPeople member.
I had some trouble doing this the way the recipe is written- I ended up peeling the squash and then chopping it into pieces. Instead of stuffing everything back into the shells I placed it in an oven-safe dish and then baked it.
Simplified recipe from the MIL. Hubby's favorite salad! I like to make the dressing in a large bowl first, then add in the cucumbers and onion. I find it is much easier to mix everything together.
Basic corn meal muffins made with Fresh Ground Yellow Sweet Corn Meal from my Aunt and Uncle.
Adapted from a recipe at cooks.com which was probably adapted from Bisquick.
Use with or without the dried dates- recipe is currently including the dates.
A favorite jello salad that my Mom makes when we have a pork roast and also something really yummy when I have been a patient in one of our local hospitals.
A classic recipe found in many Italian cook books. This particular version is from Smitten Kitchen that was loosely based on a variation from Mario Batali.
This is a variation on many recipes. I decided to enter it as every time I want to make this I can never remember what the ingredients are or how to get it started, I also wanted to know the calorie count.
From the 'low-carb' meals in minutes cookbook; Balsamic vinegar makes a zesty glaze for chicken- and adds very few calories in the process.
