The kitchen is not my most favorite room, so whatever I prepare must be quick and easy.
My problem with becoming totally vegetarian is that I need chewy substances to satisfy my mental attachment to fowl and fish. Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) serves the purpose of tasting as if I'm eating meat,satisfying my mental craving, is so delicious that I fooled my children for 15 years that they were eating meat, not by misrepresentation, but by omission. By that time, they were hooked. Originally I asked if they might like to try soy meat and they unequivocally answered NO. I prepared their favorite spegetthi meal from that day on with TVP. They always asked for thirds.
Make the recipe even healthier with less calories and sodium by using fresh pureed tomatoes. Delicious and verrrry cheap!.

I hate the kitchen and hate to cook, however it is my goal to eat healthy, so here goes.
Soy has many healthy side effects, is quick and easy to prepare, economical, and found in many forms. The reason it has been endeared to me is that my picky eating children, who grew up scorning okra, mushrooms, asparagus, just loved soy in it's many forms...as long as I called it something else.
