Chicken? Really? I am all about reasonable substitutions, but that means they have to at least taste similar! You know, fat-free cream cheese or perhaps a leaner cut of beef. Don't call chicken a "Philly Cheese Steak", even in quotes. Submitted by:

I love this because my husband is on Atkins and he can easily just eat it without the hoagie! I also like to make this as an open-faced sandwich which reduces the carbs and the calories! Submitted by:

It sounds good gotta try it but switching out banana peppers for mushrooms and adding a little oregano, basil and sprinkle of balsamic to make up for missing salt. the suggestions of whole wheat tortillas is a great one too.

I would have to find a way to lower the sodium, calories and fat. for flavor I would change the banana peppers to Habanero peppers because I like heat in my food. I would also add Mrs Dash for seasonings. Submitted by:

I loved it! It was too cold to grill outside so I "grilled" in the oven, and added a bit of seasoning to the chicken. I also added a little smear of brown mustard to my sandwich. We all loved it, and didn't seem to miss all the fat! I'll definitely be adding this to my go-to menu. Submitted by:

Very good and filling for 120 calories. I eliminated the black pepper and added a few (2 rings) green hot chili peppers to each half after done cooking and slicing. Not sure what that did to the calories? Submitted by:

This recipe was pretty tasty....I sliced the chicken before cooking it, and added some salt, pepper, and oregano. I cooked it on the stovetop instead of a grill, and I added mushrooms to the vegetable mix. The sandwiches were good, and a nice replacement for steak sandwiches. Submitted by:

Yummy! I used left over cooked chiken cut into strips. Then added it to peppers and onions to warm. Made it very fast and easy. I used sandwich thins to save calories. Husband was very impressed thinking I was a great chef!! Submitted by:

I would not consider this a cheesesteak. It lacks seasoning... Mrs.Dash and if you need salt, Salt Sense. Banana peppers? Eliminate. I opt for onion only but i like lettuce and tomato. Shred Chicken. And coring out the meet of the roll is great thinking! The recipe is a ok starting point though. Submitted by:
