These are so good! Omitted the salt, though - didn't miss it at all. Submitted by:

Made these twice already and love them. Shared with a friend and she loved them too. I added walnuts and 2nd time I used almond milk which cuts calories too. They were great! Submitted by:

276 calories, that is too high for my snack. I am so glad others already saved themselves some calories.
I will follow their advice, I was surprised to see them so big and such high calories and carbs on this site. Pat in Maine.

I'd have to make too many adjustments in making this recipe work for me. The carbs are way out of my range, I would need to eat half. I would want something different. Submitted by:

This are very good. They work well with half sugar and half Splenda too. I cut down on the raisin and added some chopped pecans. Submitted by:

I think this recipe would be a lot less calories if the sugar was substitiuted for honey. Too many calories. Submitted by:

I used 45 ml of agave nectar instead of sugar and spelt flour instead of whole wheat due to hubby not liking whole wheat.
I also used almond milk for a lactose free recipe and I always use sea salt.

i wouldn't make this recipe as it has far too many calories...i look for 150 cal or less when i make muffins....i notice a lot of recipes on this site claim to be healthy, but they sure aren't diet worthy! Submitted by:

I used to use olive oil in recipes until I learned from my nutritionist that a better choice for baking is CANOLA oil. Submitted by:

These are great! But they really make 12 so half the calorie count. Also, one time I forgot to put in the sugar and they were still edible. Submitted by:

I used Splenda instead of sugar and white flour; otherwise, the same as original. They were pretty bland and I think I could taste the oil. So next time I'll add applesauce as the other people suggested instead of oil. Worth trying again. Submitted by:

Easy to make. I used more bananas and Splenda instead of sugar, but will try some applesauce next time. Submitted by:

i used blueberries instead of bananas, applesauce to replace most of the oil (i left 1 TBSP), and I used 1/2 cup plain light soymilk instead of 1/4 cup milk. So i guess i made a vegan version! And i used Sugar In The Raw too! Submitted by:

Delicious - very moist and dense! I subbed honey for the sugar, and used golden raisins. I will make these again! Submitted by:

I really like the idea that the comments print in your personal cookbook. I'd been wondering how it would work with Splenda instead of sugar--now I know the answer is "fine"! Thanks for sharing, SPARKles! Submitted by:

yes, substitute apple sauce for oil, fiber one split with whole wheat flour = meet your fiber goal and less fat Submitted by:

I added applesauce and reduced the oil to 1 tbsp. I doubled the bananas and the raisins, used fat free milk and added 1/4 c. brown sugar along with a dash of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg. I baked it in a glass loaf pan. Now my husband and kids (and I) can't get enough of it! Submitted by:

I really liked these. As suggested above, I used a regular muffin tin and made 9 so the calories would be a little lower. I did sprinkle one packet of Turbinado sugar on top of them before baking, but I don't think one packet for all 9 will make a difference in calories. I will make this again Submitted by:
