Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I like to use some luncheon beef meat, add some tomato slices, and maybe some thyme (if I feel the mood) for protein/carbs/ fat combo. Got rid of the sauce, used cheese slice.

Bout three hundred cals or so. YUM!

Wonderful! I used Fiber One Multigrain bread for the added fiber, and added some ground turkey (only because my boys won't eat anything unless there is meat in it!). Very delicious and simple to make, will definitely be doing it again! Submitted by:

I will definitively make this again! I didn't have any mozzarella cheese, so i made it with cheddar, although it probably added a few extra calories it was still good. Should have put garlic on it though! could have put some italian seasonings on it also! Submitted by:

instead of bread i used tumaro's low carb tortilla which is like 60 calories per serving. and i added 4 cherry tomatoes, 1 tbsp chopped onions and 1 tbsp bell pepper. it tasted just like pizza hut pizza. thanks for the recipe, it's wonderful. Submitted by:

We &LOVED them as a family! Cooking on a George Foreman (as someone suggested) is a quick way to do this - BUT toast the bread 1st before buttering and putting on the grill. Sauce doesn't soak through as much then. We added mushrooms & spicy peppers & low fat ricotta - Delicious! Submitted by:

Brilliant! Why didn't I think of this? My son will only eat grilled cheese sandwiches and pizza--let's see how he likes this!! LOL And, I can make a few tweaks to lower the carbs for me, like using sprouted grain bread, my own tomato sauce, and whole fat cheese. Thanks for this recipe!! Submitted by:

The bread I used had more calories. I added a few slices of pepperoni as well. Ended up being too many calories and kind of bland. Didn't fill the craving for pizza. Will look for another recipe. Submitted by:
