Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I made this today with chicken sausage and nonfat cheese, which brought the total fat down. I also added vegetables- peppers, onions, tomatoes, and spinach. The whole family loved this recipe. I also like that we have leftovers for breakfast this week! Submitted by:

Tried this recipe this morning....easy, quick, and very good! I have made a similar recipe to this called "Overnight Christmas Casserole" and this was a lot like that....didn't miss the extra fat and calories at all! Easy to cut into portion sizes to take and heat at work....Will fix again! Submitted by:

I made this with a few variations to make it lower calories and larger portion sizes. I used 4 turkey sausage patties, 8 pieces of bacon and egg beaters in the place of the eggs. Making it this way has six servings instead of 12 and a whopping 278 calories!! It tastes great and suggest that you t Submitted by:

I like to use the hormel pre-cooked bacon bits in salad aisle - 50% less fat and sometimes I add a cup of hashbrowns - just because I like the taste - then I cut down a little on the cheese. This is delish Submitted by:

I don't use sausage so I substituted turkey pepperoni...Today, I am substituting with Oscar Mayer Ready to Eat bacon. My family loves it!! I did add onions and left out the salt. I think the cheese adds plenty and I use the coarse grind black pepper with a sprinkle (1/4 tsp.) of cayenne pepper!! Submitted by:

Definitely a keeper. Our store didn't have the reduced fat sausage so I use turkey sausage for the first time -- YUMMY!

I've made this recipe using Perdue Lean Turkey Breakfast Sausage, egg beaters and added lots of veggies (ex. peppers, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, etc.). Boosts the fiber and helps get the veggies in for the day. I also serve it with a dollop of salsa on top. Yummy!!! Submitted by:

This is really good. I loved it. I made it with turkey sausage links that I cut up into tiny pieces and used half a block of reduced fat cheddar that i cut into thin slices. It was really good. Was a good change to my morning Cheerios. Submitted by:

Really really awesome. Easy, delicious and filling.
The store didn't have the sausage recommended so I used ground turkey with pepper, sage and garlic powder to taste. Subsituted my favorite marble jack cheese (low fat of course).
