I liked this a lot. I skipped the slow cooker and just cooked on the stovetop until the beans were done, then added the rest of the ingredients and cooked for 5 minutes longer. Best beans I've ever made! I reduced the sugar to 2/3 cup (used white sugar) and added 2 tbsp molasses, and used fresh water instead of the soak water (to reduce "gassiness" of the recipe). My partner also commented on how great they were. Very simple to make - thank you! Submitted by:
