I liked this! I added some celery, frozen corn (in place of the sugar), stewed tomatoes, 2 jalepenos, and some dried oregano. Left out the salt. Took it to a tailgate & everyone liked it very much! I just served it plain (without the rice) - warmed us up quite nicely. Submitted by:

Following this recipe to the letter using just what spices and the amounts called for it was bland. The next time I make this I would double the garlic, salt, pepper and probably double all spices except the sugar and if I used it at all it would be splenda brown. Submitted by:
