This is how my mother made mac & cheese when I was young. I don't make it very often now, because of the calorie count. For a occasion treat it would be very tastie. I think I will make it again soon. The only difference I would make, would be to add very fine bread crumbs to the top of it. Submitted by:

It does sound simple and delicious but at those calories it needs to remain a 4 serving occasional side dish or a protein substitute for a meatless meal for 4 people. Submitted by:
