Nutrition & Calorie Comments

Loved these!! Some changes I made: I didn't have applesauce, so I substituted 1tbps coconut oil, and 1/3 of a banana, mashed. I used brown sugar instead of regular, and only used 1/4 cup. Almond milk in place of the water. And one whole egg instead of the whites. 106 calories. Submitted by:

As stated, super easy to make. I used a Splenda blend vs. regular sugar and they turned out great. Hard to believe they were only 96 calories. YUMM! I will make these all the time. Submitted by:

i also used fresh blueberries; a little less cake-like than usual blueberry muffins but great for the calorie count! Submitted by:

Very good! Used one whole egg instead of two egg whites and put a light sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top before baking. Yum! Submitted by:

I think these were very bland. I substituted splenda for the sugar. I don't know if that had an effect on it or not. Submitted by:

Loved this recipe! Brought it to my book club meeting and it was a hit! I used whole wheat graham flour to add more fiber. I also doubled the blueberries and substituted Splenda for the sugar. I'll Make this one again--maybe try with frozen strawberries next time. Submitted by:

My husband and I liked these for a healthy snack. I agree with a couple other posters that they were a little on the bland side (this could be remedied with a little splenda), but for 100 calories, these muffins cannot be beat! Submitted by:

Came out a little dry, but taste nice! Used brown sugar instead of Splenda, and wholemeal flour. This took it up to 117 calories according to the recipe calculator. Will be a nice little lunch box filler. Thanks :) Submitted by:

These were excellent. Nice texture and tasted great. The only changes I made were adding 1/2t vanilla and I ground the oats into oat flour because I didn't think my kids would like the texture. I also sprinkled the tops with the tiniest amount (like less than a 1/4t of powdered sugar) for the kids. Submitted by:

I but in 1/2 cup honey instead of sugar, used whole wheat flour, and about 1.5 cups of fresh blueberries. They were a huge hit! Very moist and turned the bitter blueberries sweet! Even my 4 and 5 year old girls ate them! Yummy and healthier than most processed muffins or bars! Submitted by:

I substituted splenda for sugar and it tasted really good. Next time I would add a little more splenda because it tasted a little plain, but overall they were delicous. Submitted by:

Tastes wonderful. I will make these again! I substituted the flour for whole wheat flour, and the white sugar for brown sugar because I was out of white sugar. It was great! Submitted by:

Just put them in the oven. I used about an extra 1/8 cup sugar and the batter tastes very sweet. If they turn out yummy, we're making a batch for the neighbors and company. Love the oats and applesauce!
Okay. They are super delicious and plenty sweet. Second batch has only 1/2 c. sugar.

I just made them and they were nice and moist. But not sweet enough for me! Maybe add more sugar or some cal-free sweetener. Submitted by:
