Nutrition & Calorie Comments

IS THAT REALLY HOW MANY CALORIES IT IS AND THE SODIUM IS RIDICULOUS, 2,342.2. IS THAT FOR THE WHOLE PIZZA CRUST? I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW IT COMES OUT THAT MUCH BY THE INGREDIENTS. WHEN I WENT BACK TO THE RECIPE THE CALORIES AND SODIUM WERE CHANGED AND THAT LOOKS A LOT BETTER. NOW I CAN MAKE THAT. Submitted by:

For a quicker pizza (and less carbs/calories) use Joseph's flax/oat bran low carb pitas! Just tried it for lunch and it was awesome. You need to bake it on a stone though, because like the other posters found, you'll get mushy crust if you don't. I used only diced tomatoes and other veggies-no sauce Submitted by:

If you saute in water instead of oil and leave off the cheese altogether, you can eat 6 pieces and it comes to under 400 calories and almost NO FAT. Vegan pizza......yum Submitted by:

Recipe says: 4 calories of Olive Oil, (0.03 tbsp)
How is that? Only 4 cals in olive oil? I thought a teaspoon has 120 calories or so...

I swapped mozz for goat cheese to get more flavor with less cheese. I added sun-dried tomatoes to the fillings and dropped the olives (too much sodium for me). There are great pre-made pizza crusts at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods if you're pressed for time or just bad at dough like me. Submitted by:

I made this with regular refrigerated pizza dough and orange bell peppers (all I had in the house). I also removed the mushrooms (I LOVE them, but DH won't eat anything that has even touched them) and olives (too salty). It was AMAZING!I will definitely make this again; even my DH devoured it!!
