Good recipe, but in our family we use a lot less roux. About 3 or 4 tablespoons (same amount of each fat and flour) oil. We cook it until it is darker than yours (about the color of homemade chocolate pudding, and I won't lie, it smokes a bit when cooking). Submitted by:
