Awesome muffins!! So yummy and super moist with the applesauce. Who would guess they're lower fat/calories?!! I guess that means I can eat 2 then, right? This recipe is definitely a keeper. Submitted by:

Made these muffins with a few changes they were to die for so thank you. The changes I made were that I used SR gluten free flour, I only put a quarter of a cup of coconut sugar, and I used my apples from our tree and stewed them no sugar added to the apples everything else was to the recipe thanks Submitted by:

I made 12 regular-sized muffins (mostly because I only have one muffin tin!) and they turned out SO great! Put them in for 20 minutes and they're perfectly browned. I used Pure Via instead of sugar and also subbed the applesauce for butter. Definitely going to need to freeze these before indulging! Submitted by:

Just made these, made a few changes. Only added 1/2c of Sugar, switched out the egg for applesauce like the others. I added Blueberries since I had some extra & ground flax seed to the top before putting them in the oven. This receipe is great, chose it because I didn't have any milk! Submitted by:

Delicious. Just made 12 muffins instead of the 24, so calories are doubled, but still very close to 200 calories and that's ok! Submitted by:

A very moist muffin with very good flavor - you could adjust the amount the chocolate chips to reduce fat. I used apple sauce. An excellent recipe. I use frozen bananas - make sure they are room temp before baking with them. Submitted by:

These were really yummy, but there is no way I could get 24 muffins out of it! I only got 12 regular sized muffins, which means that the calories for a regular sized muffin would be 204, not 102. The "102" must be for muffin-top or mini-muffins. Submitted by:

I wanted to use my extra bananas so I searched for a recipe & found yours. YUM! I doubled the recipe and got about 30 good-sized muffins. However, I used butter (I was taking them to a neighborhood party), so it added a lot of calories to your healthier version. I ate WAY too many today. :( Submitted by:

Yum, I made this recipe, but only found it made 28 mini muffins. I cut back on the sugar slightly and still find them sweet so I am going to try them with only 1/2 cup sugar next time. I also subsituted ground flax seed for some of the flour. I put in 1/3 cup of mini chips. Submitted by:

I made these muffins with a few alterations: I used four bananas, lowered the sugar to somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of a cup; I left out the chocolate chips and added walnuts to half of the batter. DELICIOUS! The original recipe probably would have been just as great. One great muffin! Submitted by:

Delicious. used applesauce, whole wheat flour instead of oil and regular flour. Subd 3/4 c sugar for 1/4 c sugar and 6 truvia packets, which cuts the sugar base total to 1/2 c . Added 1/4 -1/2 c dark chocolate chips. Baked on 375 for 17 min. Kids love them and so do I. Made 12 medium sized muffins Submitted by:

I made 12 muffins and calculated it to be 173 calories for 1. I think half that would have been too small. I used the following:
3 bananas
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
1/3 cup apple sauce
1/2 cup mini choc chip

Thank You for the wonderfull recipe, will make again and again.

Scrumdidlyumptious! My 7-yr-old daughter made them (with a little measuring help) & they turned out way better than we thought they would be.
We used whole wheat flour, unsweetened applesauce and probably too many chocolate chips.
I assume the chocolate chips are not in the nutrition info?
