Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I havenʻt had these yet but compared to TGI Fridayʻs cheese sticks and other chain restaurants cheese sticks these are healthier. Sure there are 140 calories in a serving but this is just a snack, there is usually that much in a donut. Submitted by:

Ew - light cheese; and panko is nothing but empty carbs. Give me a small piece of quality imported cheese any day. Submitted by:

These were incredible. I followed the advice of some other users and froze the cheese sticks before baking and then the baking time turned out great. I used an entire bag of cheese sticks and still had left over ingredients. There is a lot of waste that is accounted for in the nutrition info. Submitted by:

Yum!
Changes: Cut stix in half LENGTHWISE; cooked 8 mins. Added 1 T ground soy nuts for extra protein. Lotsa leftover breading, eggs, & flour; make half next time (does this changes nutrition facts?). Remove from pan IMMEDIATELY and let stand about a minute or they are one melted mess!

I'd call this good even though I rated it very good. I should've added more seasoning - I went easy as I don't like too much. I used 4C bread crumbs instead of panko since the calories were the same. Not sure if that changes the texture or not. I'm gonna try it again but with more seasoning. Submitted by:

These look lovely, but way too high in calories. Submitted by:

These are delicious. I also question the calorie count. The light string cheese has 60 calories for a whole stick. I can't believe that the egg and bread crumbs add 90 extra calories! Submitted by:

We really liked these cheese sticks! Very good flavor, and crunch! The only thing is that they flatten out a bit more than the fried when cooking, but I am willing to trade that off for good flavor and texture and lighter calories! Submitted by:

Love this idea, and glad to see reducing the waste of too much breading and egg makes it even less fatty :) Submitted by:
