Oriental Chicken Salad

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
    2 packages of slivered almonds
    1/2 cup sesame seeds
    6 to 8 green onions, chopped
    1 can water chestnuts, diced
    1 large or 2 medium heads of lettuce, torn

Directions

Cook chicken in water, cool, and cut up in small pieces. Brown almonds and sesame seeds in pan, no oil added. This burns easily, so be careful. MIx chicken, chopped onions, and lettuce with almonds and sesame seeds in large bowl. Add diced water chestnuts.

Dressing: Heat on low in small pan until dissolved.
4 T sugar
2 1/2 t salt
4 T vinegar
1/2 t accent
1/2 t pepper

Cool dressing then add 1/2 cup oil and mix well. Just before serving, add 1 can Chinese chow mein noodles and dressing to salad and mix.
