Ingredients

    2/3 cup ketchup
    1/3 cup water
    1/4 cup granulated sugar or splenda
    1/4 cup vinegar
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/8 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1 pinch thyme
    1 dash of salt

Directions

1. combine ingredients in small saucepan over medium heat.
2. bring to a boil whisking often, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes
3. cover the dressing until cool, then refrigerate until well chilled.

    I love this recipe and use it often. I use regular granulated sugar, but I find that 1/4 cup per serving is too much. 2 tablespoonfuls is only 37.5 calories (less using splenda)...I use the fork dunk method of adding the dressing to my salad. - 1/19/10
