Submitted by: 11CAROLE

Introduction

Very good homemade cake. Not a box cake with i ngredients you can't even pronounce. You can alter this basic recipe. I sometimes use Anise Seeds mixed into the cake, omit the crumbs, bake it and then cut it into biscotti type cookies and bake at 325 until nicely browned. The thickness of the cookie is up to you. BTW 2 Tbl of corn starch added to the flour make cake flour! Since it is only me and my husband, I wrap each piece in saran wrap, put it in a ziplock bag and freeze. They thaw out fast and are delicious Very good homemade cake. Not a box cake with i ngredients you can't even pronounce. You can alter this basic recipe.
