Chicken,Vegtable Lentil Soup

Introduction

I made this up to use left over roasted chicken, threw a bunch of stuff in a pot and it turned out pretty good. I made this up to use left over roasted chicken, threw a bunch of stuff in a pot and it turned out pretty good.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 cup sliced carrots
    .5 cup chopped onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    2 chopped celery stalks
    .5 pack of lentil & bean dry soup mix
    1-2 cups of cooked chicken breast chopped
    1 6oz can of tomato paste
    1 tsp black pepper
    2 tbs basil
    1 tbsp Soy Sauce
    6-8 cups of water


Directions

Using a soup or stock pot add chicken, celery, carrots, onion, garlic and soup mix. Dump in tomato paste and mix. Then poor in the water takes 6-8 cups depending on pot, you can add or removed water as needed. Once paste is mixed in add pepper, basil and soy sauce. Here is were you can spice as wanted. Place on stove-top on medium till starts to bubble reduce heat to min and simmer till beans and lentils are tender. 6-8 hrs. 1 serving = 1.5 cups of soup
