Granola

Introduction

Delicous homemade granola that can be sliced into bars, or broken into pieces for sprinkling into cereal. Easy to make! Delicous homemade granola that can be sliced into bars, or broken into pieces for sprinkling into cereal. Easy to make!
Number of Servings: 28

Ingredients

    4 c. old fashioned oats
    1 c. slivered almonds
    1 c. chopped cashews
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. canola oil
    1/4 c. honey
    4 tsp. vanilla
    about 1 c. dried fruit (golden raisins, cranberries, etc)

Directions

Preheat oven to 300F. Combine first six ingredients in a large bowl and mix well (hands work best). Heat oil and honey together in a saucepan, just until heated, or microwave for approximately 45 seconds. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over mixture and mix well. Spread onto greased bakings heet and pack down. Bake approximately 30 minutes, stirring and re-packing every ten minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle fruit on top; allow to cool. After cooled completely break apart and enjoy!

Makes about 28 1/4 c. servings.
