Stuffed Green Peppers

Introduction

Great tasting one dish meal. Great tasting one dish meal.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Green peppers cut into halves (3 whole green peppers)
    Chop 1 small onion
    .75 lbs ground turkey (lean)
    1 egg
    1/4 cup crushed crackers
    1/2 cup brown rice
    28oz can crushed tomatoes
    2tbsp dried basil
    1tbsp each of oregano, garlic powder, soy sauce
    grated cheese to top

Directions

In a bowl mix turkey, egg, rice and 1/3 of the crushed tomatoes.
Mix seasonings together in a bowl and put half in above mix and the other half in with remaining crushed tomatoes.
Take turkey mix and put on top of green pepper halves then spread the remaining crushed tomatoes over the top of stuffed green peppers
Put in 350 oven for 35-40 minutes. Add cheese to top and cook for the remainding 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Makes 6 servings.
