FRAN'S SOUR DOUGH BREAD

Introduction

THIS REQUIRES A STARTER MADE WITH DEHYDRATED POTATO FLAKES. YOU COULD SUBSTITUTE A YEAST SLURRY, MIXED WITH MASHED POTATO FLAKES. Such a dough would rise much faster. Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients



    * Mashed Potatoes, dehydrated, .5 cup, IN THE STARTER (remove)
    * Flour, whole grain, 6 cup (remove)
    * Granulated Sugar, .33 cup (remove)
    * Olive Oil, .33 cup (remove)
    you may wish to add 1 t. salt. I don't use it.

Directions

mix together in large, non-metallic bowl - USE NO METALLIC ITEMS!. Cover with plastic & let rise overnite, 8-12 hrs.
Divide into 2 loaves - put in glass bread pans greased with COOKING SPRAY.
Raise uncovered 4-6 hours.
Bake at 325* to light brown, 35-40 min., Remove from pans & cool. Cut into 40 slices., about 86 calories per slice. Variations: You may shape the dough into rolls if you wish. Makes good dinner rolls or cinnamon rolls.
