Introduction

Number of Servings: 14

Ingredients

    * Carrots, raw, 5 medium grated
    * Onions, raw, 1 large chopped
    * *Blue Bonnet Light Margarine, 2 tbsp
    * *Canola Oil, 1 1tsp
    * Half and Half Cream, 1 cup
    * Chicken Broth, 2.5 cup (8 fl oz)
    * Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    * Cheddar or Colby Cheese, Low Fat, 1.75 cup, shredded
    * Cheez Whiz, 28 tbsp
    * Broccoli, frozen, 2.5 package (10 oz)
    * Broccoli, fresh, 1 cup, chopped

Directions

Melt the butter in a frying pan with the oil. Once heated, add the onions and cook until translucent, add the carrots. Cook until the onions are an orangish color and everything is tender. Add the chicken broth and let simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add broccoli and bring to a boil. Add the half and half, cheez whiz, shredded cheese and mix well. Add water. Cover and let simmer until to the thickness and tenderness of your desire. I usually let mine cook about an hour and a half.
