Speedy "Baked" Beans

Ingredients

    Olive Oil, 2 tsp
    Onions, raw, 1 small
    Garlic, 1 clove
    Salt and pepper
    Beans, navy 2 15 oz cans, drained and rinsed
    Molasses, 0.25 cup
    Heinz, Reduced Sugar Tomato Ketchup, 0.5 cup
    Mustard powder, 1 tsp
    Cornstarch, 1 tbsp

Directions

In a medium sauce pan, heat oil over medium. Add onion and garlic: season with salt and pepper. Cook until softened (about 3 minutes). Add beans and 1/2 cup water. Simmered until beans have softened (about 10 minutes).

Add molasses, ketchup and mustard powder and another 1/2 cup water. Simmer for 8 minutes and add cornstarch to thicken. Cook for another 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Makes 10 1/3 cup servings
