SOUP: Taco soup (Karen's)

Introduction

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 medium onion chopped
    2 c water
    3 (14 oz ) cans beef broth
    1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
    1 (15 oz) cam tomato sauce
    1 (16 oz) can kidney beans undrained
    1 package low sodium taco seasoning mix
    1 c uncooked small shell pasta

Directions

1. In large sauce pan, cook beef and onion until meat is browned and no longer pink. Drain off fat.
2. Add remaining ingredients except the pasta. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally.
3. Add pasta. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until pasta is tender (check package for time).
4. Can serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheese and sour cream-optional. not figured in calorie count.
