spicy rice

Ingredients

    1cup wild rice (rinsed)
    1cup white rice
    1/3 cup mung beans (rinsed)
    1 cinnamon stick 3"
    10 - 15 cloves (whole)
    1Tbs peppercorn (brused)
    6 - 8 whole green cardamom pods (brused)
    3 garlic cloves (minced)
    2 tbs turmeric
    1Tbs saffron

Directions

heat oil in large heavy pot add cinnamon,peppercorns
cloves,cardamom pods fry for 2 min add turmeric ,saffron and garlic, fry for a minute add the rices and the beans fry for 5 min or so add all the water cook for apx 15 -20 min. serves 6
