Raw Onion Rings

Number of Servings: 8


    Onions, raw, 1 small
    **Flax Seed Meal (ground flax), 1/4 cup
    Almond Meal, dry almonds ground, Fine Ground - 1/2 cup
    Poultry seasoning, .5 tsp
    Garlic powder, .25 tsp
    *salt, Hain* sea salt, 0.25 tsp
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp


mix up sea salt and olive oil in a bowl. Set aside with onion slices.

Mix all other ingredients in another bowl. Dip onion slices into the oil mixture, then into the dry mixture. Place in a single layer on a mesh Dehyrdrator sheet. Put a sheet of wax paper/teflex underneath to catch 'crumbs'. Whatever you have left over you can spread on teflex/wax paper to make a "cracker" or yummy crumbles for a salad. Should make at least 4-5 "crackers" and multiple onion rings - depending on how thin you slice your onion.
