Chocolate Chip Cookie

Submitted by: LUV-BEING-NANA

Introduction

People always rave over my chocolate chip cookies. I think tere are two key factors that make them so good...the fat in it is butter flavored shortening instead of butter or margarine, and the second factor is the cooking time....the secret for that is in the recipe.

The recipe calculation is for ONE cookie...the batch makes 5 dozen...or 60 cookies.

WARNING: It is hard to stop at one!!!!!!

Directions

Preheat to 375 degrees

Mix up the first 7 ingredients with a mixer. Beat until creamy. Aff the flour and mix again with the mixer until creamy. Hand mix in the chocolate chips.

Place cookies on greased cookie sheet...about 1" balls, 2" apart. Bake 8-10 minutes depending on your oven. Mine take 8 minutes. They do not look quite done when I take them out. I let them remain on the hot cookie sheet while the next batch bakes. Then remove them to a cooling rack to continue to cool.

Remember you can always put the cookies back in the oven later if they really are not done...but please do not cook too long or you will have very hard cookies...if not burnt on the bottom. (the bottom burns long before the top looks brown)

Super soft and yummy! Enjoy!
