Introduction

I've been making this for years. My family loves it! It's quick and easy and I serve it with the beef curry and basmati rice. But it's just as good served with a grilled chicken breast. This is a great way to get your family to eat more cabbage! I've been making this for years. My family loves it! It's quick and easy and I serve it with the beef curry and basmati rice. But it's just as good served with a grilled chicken breast. This is a great way to get your family to eat more cabbage!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Cabbage, fresh, .5 head, large (about 7" dia)
    Onions, raw, 1 large
    2 pepper, hot chili, red, raw;
    Garlic, 3 clove
    Turmeric, ground, 1 tbsp
    5 curry leaves
    Salt, 1 dash
    Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
    Stewed Tomatoes, 1 cup


Directions

Chop onions and cabbage and saute in EVOO over medium heat until limp and starting to brown. Add grated ginger, chopped garlic, chopped chilis, curry leaf, turmeric, salt and pepper and cook and stir until well combined and fragrent. Add chopped stewed tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.

Makes 6 3/4 cup servings
