Slow-Cooker Scalloped Potatoes


Number of Servings: 10


    1/2 tsp cream of tartar
    10 med potatoes thinly sliced
    half an onion chopped
    salt to taste
    1 cup grated american or cheddar cheese
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 tsp paprika
    pepper to taste

Dissolve cream of tartar in water add potatoes and toss together. Drain. Place half of potatoes in slow cooker. Sprinkle with onions, salt , pepper, and half of cheese. Repeat with remaining potatoes and cheese. Spoon soup over the top. Sprinkle with paprika. COver cook low 8-10 hours or high 4 hours.

  • I made this for Thanksgiving and it was, at best, mediocre. Although thinly sliced, the potatoes were still too firm after an 8 hour cook, and the cheese was burned. I even added an extra can of soup. We had so much left over because no one ate it. - 11/26/11

  • Very Good, for soup I used the cream of mushroom with roasted garlic and mix it with 1/4 c. skim milk before I pour it on the top. - 9/27/11
