Whipped Cream

Introduction

Just for my own calorie counting purposes, not a low fat food but great to keep on hand when you feel a need to induldge. I put a scoop (use an ice cream scoop = 1/3 of a cup) in a bowl, top with 1 cup strawberries or raspberries, drizzle 3 melted Dove chocolates over it and it is heaven. Ingredients

    3 cups heavy cream, whipped
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 t. vanilla

Directions

Whip cream in an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Add sugar and vanilla. Continue beating until stiff peaks form. Using an ice cream scoop (1/3 c.), place scoops of whipped cream on an ice cream sheet. Freeze until solid, then place in a container. When you feel the need for a treat, pull out one scoop. Not nearly as low fat as fat-free Cool Whip but at least you know what you're eating.
