Ingredients

    Ground beef, lean, 24 oz
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" diam.)
    Canned Tomatoes, 3.5 cup (28 oz can)
    Campbellā€™s consomme, 30 oz (3 cans)
    Carrots, raw, 4 medium
    Bay Leaf, 1 tsp, crumbled
    Celery, raw, 3 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Thyme, ground, 0.5 tsp
    Barley, pearled, raw, 0.5 cup
    Water, 2 cups
    Campbell's tomato soup (salt reduced), 10 oz can

Directions

Brown meat and onions. Drain well. Combine all ingredients in large pot. Simmer, covered, at least two hours, or all day. Serves 10.
