St. Paul's Rice

Ingredients

    2 lbs. ground sausage meat (hot or mild)
    1 bell (green) pepper - chopped
    1 rib celery - chopped
    3/4 cup white long grain rice
    1 box Lipton chicken noodle soup mix (both envelopes)
    5 1/2 cups of low sodium chicken broth

Directions

Brown sausage, take up and degrease; saute pepper, celery and onion, drain all grease off and mis with sausage.

Bring water to a boil; add soup mix and rice, boil 7 minutes

Add sausage and vegetables and stir well; put in oven proof dish and bake for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.

Can be frozen for later.
