Introduction

The ingredients in this coleslaw are based on a famous restaurant recipe but lightened up to cut down on the sugar and fat. My family thought it was very good and my son cleaned out the bowl! The ingredients in this coleslaw are based on a famous restaurant recipe but lightened up to cut down on the sugar and fat. My family thought it was very good and my son cleaned out the bowl!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    4 cups of shredded cabbage
    1/4 cup of shredded carrots
    1/4 cup of Hellman's Canola mayo
    2 T. non fat milk
    2 T. lowfat buttermilk
    4 t. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 1/4 tsp. white vinegar
    3 1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Directions

In a large bowl mix all the ingredients except the cabbage and carrots. Add cabbage and carrot and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate to combine flavors. The longer you leave it in the fridge, the softer it becomes so if you reallly like it crunchy don't leave it too long.

Makes 6 - 1/4 cup servings (measured when it was soft).
