Tomato Pecan Spaghetti Sauce
Submitted by: CARO_41Introduction
A very tasty, restaurant-quality sauce with no meat. It has a little bit of sweetness due to the pecans, but not too much. Quick to prepare and wonderful on any kind of pasta. Leftovers heat up well also! A very tasty, restaurant-quality sauce with no meat. It has a little bit of sweetness due to the pecans, but not too much. Ingredients
-
1 stick butter
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
1.5 cups Hunts Four Cheese spaghetti sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated parmesan for garnish
Directions
Melt butter with oil in a large, non-corrosive skillet. Add garlic and pecans and cook until pecans are lightly toasted but not brown, about 2 minutes. Add sauce, salt and pepper and cook until slightly thickened, about 4 minutes. Serve with cooked pasta and garnish with grated parmesan (the garnish really makes this recipe).
