Popcorn, Homestead style, 4 cupsSubmitted by: STRETCH64
Introductionserving 4 cups serving 4 cups
1 cup popping corn
1 Tbsp olive oil
3.3 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp dark toasted sesame oil
6 Tbsp Parmesan cheese grated
1 Tbsp powdered cheddar cheese
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tea chili powder, mild (ancho or New Mexican)
2 Tbsp italian herbs
3 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1.5 tea salt
Popcorn, air-popped, 35 cup (remove)
*cheddar cheese powder, .05 cup (remove)
*Sesame Oil, Dark, .0625 cup (remove)
*Bob's Red Mill Large Flake Nutritional Food Yeast, 0.08 cup (remove)
Parmesan Cheese, grated, 2.5 tbsp (remove)
*Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp (remove)
Some of the toppings fall to the bottom of the bowl, so I have removed that amount from the nutritional calculations.
I save this popcorn spice from the bottom of the bowl and use to season soups, stews, beans and gravy.
Add the toppings in the order listed, for the best 'stick' of the ingredients on the hot popcorn.
Stir the top very lightly with your hand to left some of the toppings shift down.
In this popcorn, the 5 minutes cooking/popping times comes first and then a few minutes to 'dress' the popcorn.
