Breakfast Casserole

Introduction

My attempt to duplicate Jimmy Dean D-Lites breakfast bowls. My attempt to duplicate Jimmy Dean D-Lites breakfast bowls.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 pounds ground turkey
    1 quart egg beaters (or 12 eggs)
    3 baked potatoes
    6 oz. shredded cheese

Directions

1. cut up the potatoes into bite-size pieces and bake
2. brown the ground turkey
3. combine potatoes and turkey, add egg beaters and cheese and bake for about 15 minutes or until eggs are set

  • These were just ok. Needs a little more flavor, and probably would use turkey sausage instead of plain ground. I'll try it again with those modifications! - 3/4/11

  • This is pretty good. I made my own turkey sausage instead of the plain ground turkey. I also didn't care for the potatoes that much...made it kind of mushy. So I think I may leave out the potatoes next time. - 7/23/10

  • I replaced the cheddar cheese with Laughing Cow herb cheese wedges broken up and stirred in, and added with some minced fresh herbs (basil, thyme, etc.). - 7/17/10
