Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 red onion cut into wedges
    8 thick low fat sausages
    batter
    100g plain flour
    1 medium egg
    300ml 2% milk
    1 tsp fresh thyme
    steamed carrots and cabbage to serve

Directions

heat the oven to gas 6.
Place sausages and onions in shallow non stick tin and roast for 20 mins or until sausage is starting to brown.
whilst the sausage is roastin make batter.
sift flour into a bowl, drop in the egg, and beat the milk in a little at a time until itn makes a smooth batter.
pour the batter quickly over the sausages and return to the oven for 40 mins or until the batter golden.
serves 4 with steamed carrots and cabbage.
