Whole wheat bread

Introduction

I make this bread in my bread maker. It has no eggs, milk, or oil and comes out moist and slightly sweet. I make this bread in my bread maker. It has no eggs, milk, or oil and comes out moist and slightly sweet.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2.5 C. warm water
    1/2 C. applesauce
    1/4 C. honey
    4.5 C. whole wheat flour
    1 T. yeast

Directions

In your bread machine, pour your water, applesauce and honey. Add flour. Make a well in the center and add yeast. Put machine on whole grain setting, light crust. Enjoy!
To make by hand:
Put water in a bowl. Mix in 2 C. of the flour. Add applesauce and honey, then add yeast. Add the rest of the flour till kneadable. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Knead 10 minutes. (you will need more flour for kneading) Make into 2 loaves, place into greased loaf pans. Cover with clean dish towel and let rise again for another hour. Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes.
