Ingredients

    Fleischmann's Rapid Rise yeast (0.25oz pkg), 4 serving
    Water, tap, .5 cup (8 fl oz)
    Sugar, 2 Tbsp

    Sugar, 6 Tbsp
    Salt, 2.5 tsp
    Shortening, 2 tbsp
    Butter, salted, 2 tbsp
    Milk, 2%, 2 cup
    Whole Wheat Flour, 3 cup
    Wheat flour, white, bread, enriched, 3 cup

Directions

Makes 36 rolls.
Preheat oven to 350.
Dissolve sugar into warm water. Add yeast and let it become foamy (about 10 minutes)
Combine remaining sugar, salt, shortening, butter, and milk.
Add yeast mixture to the milk mixture. Then add flour, one cup at a time. (You may use whole wheat instead of white flour and they will still turn out fabulous)
Transfer the dough into a greased bowl and place in a warm spot where it will rise.
When the dough has doubled in size, grease your muffin pans. pinch off bits of the dough and roll into balls, placing three in each muffin cup.
Bake at 350 for 10-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
