I used only 2 tbsp of OO, more is unnecessary, and I substituted sunflower seeds, which I toasted lightly before adding.

Ingredients

    1 lb asparagus, trimmed
    garlic clove
    1/4 cup sunflower seeds
    2 tbsp OO
    2 tbsp asparagus cooking liquid
    splash lemon juice

Directions

trim asparagus, cut into 2 inch pieces. bring pot of salted water to a boil, and boil asparagus 8 to 10 minutes until tender. drain and reserve some liquid.

add asparagus, sunflower seeds, garlic, 2 tbsp OO, lemon juice, and 2 tbsp cooking liquid to food processor and process. done! super easy and quick.
