low fat faux chocolate creme fraiche

Submitted by: WALLOWA

Introduction

This makes a pudding or icing with much less fat that usual. Yup, it's a short cut, made rather different with chocolate baking powder, and ginger and cinnamon spices. Ingredients

Two tablespoons low fat yogurt (Nancy's gives zing)
Two tablespoons extra creamy low fat whipped topping (told you you had a short cut - and it gives nice texture)
A quarter cup (or less) powdered sugar (for your sweet tooth)
Two tablespoons extra dark baking powder (for zing)
A quarter teaspoon of ginger and/or cinnamon (more zing)

Directions

Smoosh together ingredients with a spoon. The powders take a few seconds to integrate, but when they do you have a soft mousse like result that makes a pretty icing or pudding. Makes 2 servings at 105 calories. Surprisingly filling, and if you are dogging cholesterol or fats, very kind to your SP food tracker.

I love the filling zing provided by the flavors. If you want something a bit more tart, minimize the sugar (such as there is) and be sure to choose a Greek style PLAIN yogurt (such as Nancy's).

Ta da.
