Introduction

Humus is so versatile, I use it in pita sandwiches as my main source of protein. Humus is so versatile, I use it in pita sandwiches as my main source of protein.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    I can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
    6 cloves of garlic
    3 tblsp tahini
    1 tblsp of olive oil
    1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Drain chickpeas, reserving juice. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend. Add reserved juice little at time if mix is not creamy enough for your taste. (I sometimes will add a little juice from a jar of olives to add to the flavor but only a tablespoon at most). To give it a smokey flavor add a tsp of Hungarian Paprika. Add salt and pepper to your taste.
