Spinach Pie

Spinach Pie

Introduction

This is my Grandma's recipe. I would really love it if someone could help me figure out how to lower the calories and fat! I made this recently, but I ended up freezing the second pie and my husband ate most of the other pie because its just too much fat! I'm sure its the sausage....maybe turkey sausage?! • Pork sausage has a lot of fat but also this recipe has a lot of it. Try using chicken or turkey sausage, but less of it. You can bump up the amount of mushrooms (try a very fine mince) or add extra vegetables or crumbled tofu to make up the extra volume. - 6/20/10
