I thought this was excellent, better than using an egg mixture. I added a little bit of ground cinnamon to the mixture to give it a sweeter flavor. I topped it with maple syrup and confectioner's sugar. This is my new favorite french toast recipe. - 4/11/10

  • I did enjoy this recipe, but it did quite hold the crunch as I wanted one piece turned a little soggy in the middle I may just need to cook the toast a little longer next time or pull a second sooner. Will try again and see what happens - 3/22/11

  • delicious!- I used polish half rye and wholewheat bread. I went off original frech toast w. eggs because of the eggy smell and mushy texture but this came out crispy and nice. I substituted white flour. Topped it with half tsp golden syrup and dairyfree veg butter. Fast & Easy! ;O) x - 3/12/11
