Introduction

Mother's recipe! When I'm missing my fries I turn to this recipe to help satisfy my craving. To save on calories, I've omitted the 1 tbsp of olive oil suggested. The same recipe using Mrs. Dash instead of the listed spices works great too! Mother's recipe! When I'm missing my fries I turn to this recipe to help satisfy my craving. Ingredients

    250 grams turnip (1 med & 1 small, peeled)
    1/2 tsp garllic salt
    1/2 tsp onion salt
    1/2 tsp paprika
    1/4 tsp pepper
    2 tbsp parmesan cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F

Peel & slice turnip into matchstick fries.

Place all ingredients in a zip lock bag and shake up to coat well. Spray a shallow baking pan or cookie sheet with olive oil non stick coating and bake 30 - 35 mins, turning often to crisp evenly.
