Crockpot creamy rotini and chicken

Introduction

crockpot takes 5 hours on high. Can cook on low just add flour and pasta last hour of cooking. Last hour must be on high though. crockpot takes 5 hours on high. Can cook on low just add flour and pasta last hour of cooking. Last hour must be on high though.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2.5 lbs. chicken
    1/3 cup margarine 40%fat
    2 cups chicken broth
    12 oz. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp.garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. onion powder
    2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 Tbsp basil
    4 tsp. worcestershire sauce

    1/2 cup flour-to be added at last hour of cooking
    12 oz. box tricolor rotini(or choice)-added at last hour

Directions

Add all ingredients together except flour and pasta. Cook on high for 4 hours. Do not open to check on it. It takes away from cooking time.

At last hour, take 1/2 cup flour mix with 3 ounces water until flour dissolves. Add. Stir. Add uncooked pasta. Trust me it will cook. Stir, replace lid. In approximately an hour you will have a great old-fashioned home cooked meal.

  • I'm sure that I'm probably at fault, but this turned out really mushy and had a VERY strong garlic flavor. We threw it out and made a pizza instead, LOL. I must have done something wrong... - 6/24/10

    you need to be sure to put the pasta in in the last hour of cooking--that might be why the pasta was mushy
